Bowhunter Safety

 Download Bowhunter Safety Flyer here

This class is sponsored by the Nevada Division of Wildlife and The National Bow hunters Education Foundation.  The class will cover ethics, hunting techniques, stalking skills, and shooting skills.  The student will receive a certificate at the end of the calls that will meet any states Bow Hunter Education requirements as well as several countries. (This is not a regular Hunter safety class.  This is a class for Bow Hunters and folks that may want to begin learning the skills of a Bowhunter)

The last third of the class will be out at the Lemmon Valley "Silver Arrow Bowmen" archery range.  We will follow blood trails, try some tracking, shooting, and distance judging.

A bow is not mandatory but is helpful.  Traditional or compound.  Field arrows only.  The class is set up for the long-term hunters and the beginners.

Ages 11 and up are welcome.  If the student is under 18 years old, they will need to have already successfully attended a regular Hunter Safety Class before attending the archery class.

This is a fantastic class for the junior hunter that is thinking about trying their skills at archery.  We have had students with 25 years of experience that have also had a blast in the class.  All that is required is a good attitude.  We supply the workbook, patches, and certificate.

If you are interested in this class you can contact Silver Arrow Bowmen Vice-President Jim O'Kelly at OkellyReno@aol.com or Kelly Dean at gboekd@sbcglobal.net.
